My photo ”Alone” has been accepted to the art exhibition Skaraborgssalongen 2017.
I am really glad to be a part of this art exhibition, in the town where I was born, so it will in a way be kind of back to the roots.
It’s a photo taken with an analogue 35mm camera and Tri-X 400 film during a visit in the forest outside of Mariestad earlier this year.
”Alone” is a part of my project ”Breathing in the silence” consisting of analogue black and whites nature and landscape photos.
The exhibition ”Skaraborgssalongen 2017” opens up the 18th of May at Skövde Art museum and will hang there all summer until it closes the 19th of August.
So if you are on a roadtrip through Sweden this summer, I really think you should take a break here and pay it a visit!
In the fields
For a few month ago I bought a new camera, an Aires Reflex TLR (middle format).
The man i bought it from had taken realy good care of the camera. Some of the controls are a little stiff, on the other side has the camera not been used for 15 years, and was made in the early 1950s.
Overall the camera is in very good condition, the shutter speed works fine and it’s really nice to work with.
I also gave the man a promise that i would use the camera and give it some love and care.
Now i finaly given me the time to trie it, and also developed the first roll Tri-X 400 film (120-mm film).
I am really pleased with this fine old camera and the pictures it creates.
In the reeds
The sun I can not see,
hiding behind that old pine tree.
The rays will soon catch up with me,
and the light l breath will set me free.
It´s a foggy day, landscape is faded in grey.
Floe floating around, with a clinking sound.
Nature blows a cold winter breeze.
We stand on the rocks looking out over the sea, trying not to freeze.
In the horizon, the sun is strugling to break free.
For a minute it opens upp, light is all we can see.
The spark burns out and it’s dark.
Where I rest my mind and soul.
Breathing in the silence is a photo project in progress that I work with.
The photographs are taken with old analog cameras and medium format 120 mm film.
